George Buie, Jr.

George Buie, Jr. of Simmesport, age 72, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, March 14th, 2023.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shanel Morgan-Jackson (Felix); sister, Deborah Weathers (Lloyd); and brother, Sam Buie. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyrone Morgan, Tyrin Morgan, Diara Jackson, and Zaji Jackson; his great-grandchildren, Tyreion Morgan, Lauryn Morgan and Lennox Morgan; and numerous nieces, nephews, extend family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Sr. and Rubie Buie; and his brothers, Larry, Charles, Clarence, Nathaniel, Ruffus, and Robert Buie.
