Blake Armand

Memorial Mass will begin at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville.

Blake James Armand, 58, of Plaucheville lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, June 19th, 2021.  He was born in Cottonport, on December 8th, 1962 the only son of Allen and Shirley Gauthier Armand.  Blake was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  He was a lifelong hunter and fisherman.  He started his own cattle farm at the age of 18 and continued until he died. He also was employed by the DOTD before falling ill.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bridget; his daughters, Sara Armand (Dawson Krull), Brooke Gauthier, Courtney Gauthier; one son, Tristan Armand; his mother, Shirley Gauthier Armand of Cottonport. He was “Pop” to four grandchildren: Averly Krull, Kynlee Gauthier, Jaicee Gauthier, and Landon Gauthier.  He is also survived by his in-laws, Norman “Blackie” and Nita Baudoin of Cottonport; sister in-laws, Tonya Meche of Lake Charles, Nicole (Andrew) Rabalais of Dupont; and brother-in-law, Chet (Amy) Baudoin of Cottonport; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Allen Armand.

Visitation will begin at 11:00am until 3:00pm with the rosary to be recited at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Mater Dolorsa Catholic Church in Plaucheville.
