Annie Mouille

March 24, 1935 — December 24, 2021

Funeral service for Annie Mouille will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport with Reverend Michael Wilkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Christ the King Catholic Church Cemetery in Simmesport.

Annie Mouille: born March 24th, 1935. She entered the Gates of Heaven, December 24th, 2021.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She took great pride in learning about everyone’s activities.

She spent the last 3 years of her life enjoying the company of fellow residents of the Bailey Place in Bunkie. Bingo was one of her favorite pastimes as was noted by the amount of change found in her possessions! She participated in all activities offered and was known by all as “the leader of the pack”, always encouraging others to join in the fun!

Prior to living at the Bailey Place, she loved to travel and see new sites. She was an avid reader, enjoyed coloring, and an excellent seamstress. Her days spent working at Hancock Fabric was a pleasure to her.

She considered her family as her greatest achievement in life. She married Walter Mouille, Jr. on October 28th, 1950. That union produced 6 children: Susan, Deborah, Lester, Kenneth, Richard (Diane), and Nancy. 10 grandchildren, Shantel Estes, Kerry Guidry, Tina Anina, Leslie Danhour, Valerie Daniel, Melissa Buras, Mary Grace Mouille, Kenneth Mouille, Jr., Nickolas Mouille, Kim Guilbeau. Her remaining siblings, Daniel (Versa), Bobbie (Linda), and Mollie Moreau.

All of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews will cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Mouille, her son, Kenneth Mouille, Sr. her parents, Ivy and Martha Moreau; and brothers, Ivy, Earnest, and Wiley Moreau.

Pallbearers: Richard Mouille, Kerry Guidry, Todd Moreau, Peyton Thibodeaux, Jaden Thibodeaux, Braylon Thibodeaux, and Wiley Moreau, Jr.

An expression of gratitude to Nicole Guillory of Passages Hospice Care and the staff of Bailey Place of Bunkie by whom her later days were made more comfortable.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport.
