Funeral services for Amos Augustine, Sr. will be held on Saturday, December 26, 2020 beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Jose Pallipurath officiating.
Visitation will begin Saturday morning at Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville beginning at 9:00 a.m. until departing for service shortly before 11:00 a.m..
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.
Beloved husband, father, brother and friend. At the age of 91, Amos Augustine peacefully departed into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, on Saturday, December 19, 2020.
Amos Augustine was born November 21, 1929 to the late Adolph Wade Augustine and Pearl Augustine.
At an early age, he confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized. As a young man, he joined Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Moreauville, Louisiana.
Amos and Rosemary Augustine were married for 67 years. They had 7 children together. Amos Augustine Jr.(Rita),Moreauville, LA, Peggy Woods(Jerome), Los Angeles, CA, Darrel Augustine(Sharon), Moreauville, LA, Terry Augustine(Felicia), Gulfport, MS, Joyice A. Murray, Baton Rouge, LA, Stanley Augustine(Linda), Brookpark, OH, Karen Adams(Samuel), New Orleans, LA.
He is survived by his 2 sisters: Lubirda Augustine, Rialto, CA,and Barbara Jean( James)Juneau of Rialto, California.
He had 19 grandchildren: Jacqueline Woods, Felicia Watson, Nicole Augustine, Amos Augustine III, Katrina Augustine, Katina Augustine, Krista Augustine, Blake Woods, Lauren Harmason, Darrell Augustine Jr., Alicia Augustine Bates, Megan Davis, Todd Wagaman, Xavier Augustine, Christian Augustine, Nathaniel Ulroan, Samantha Adams, and Samuel Adams Jr.
He also had a host of great grandchildren, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, six brothers, and two sisters. We will keep him in our hearts forever
