Zenella Mayeux

A Memorial Mass for Zenella “Zee” Guillot Mayeux of Hessmer will take place at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Friday, January 12^th, 2024 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Derek Ducote officiating. Interment will commence at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Mausoleum.

Zenella Mayeux, age 89, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Bayou Chateau Nursing Home in Simmesport.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Nicholas “Nicky” Mayeux & wife Julie of Bordelonville, Timothy “Tim” Mayeux & wife Susie of Woodworth, Joel Paul Mayeux of Pineville, and Nina Mayeux Ducote of Lafayette; eight grandchildren: Steven Mayeux, Stacey Youngblood, Josh Mayeux, Jake Mayeux, Sarah Thompson, Elissa Baudoin, Trevor Ducote, and Trent Peart; and 15 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Linda Rachal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick F. Mayeux;  her parents, Eldric Guillot and Ione Michel Guillot.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mrs. Zenella’s name.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Mansura.
