William “Pug” Arnouville, age 70, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, on “The Island” in Bordelonville, the place he loved so much & took so much pride in.

Pug was blessed to make his living doing the two things that he loved dearly, commercial fishing and farming. He was a kind and loving man who took so much joy in giving to others. He loved to talk with people and if you were his friend, he never forgot about you. Pug always made sure to keep in touch, by phone call or a visit. He was always a helpful person, if someone close to him needed something he ensured they got it. He loved his grandbabies so very much. They always looked forward to telling him about their grades or any other accomplishments because they knew it would put a smile on his face and usually, they were rewarded, sometimes by opening his pocketbook, a donut run, or buying fruits he knew they liked. Pug was a soft-hearted and sensitive man. He may not have outwardly shown that to some, but his heart was so easily touched. His unique sense of humor. Even when you fussed at him for making a mess, he would brush it off or make a funny remark that made it impossible for you to stay mad. All our lives will be so changed by his absence, but we know that he would want us all to go on and to strive to be the best we can be.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Carla Arnouville; sons, Clint Arnouville, Sr., Jace (Donna) Arnouville, Taylor (Lauren) Arnouville; daughter, Becky (Greg) Bernard; brothers, James Harold “Billy” Arnouville and John Holden (Dail) Arnouville, Jr.; sisters, Janice Rabalais and Sally (Donnie) Barr. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Clint Arnouville, Jr., Christian Arnouville, Shady Johnson, Madison Bernard, Chloe Bernard, Brooklynn Bernard, Jenna Arnouville, and baby Elaina Arnouville; and great-grandchild, Koulen Arnouville.
