It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Valentine Tony Carmello, age 77, on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.
Valentine, born on May 23, 1946, was a man whose life was steeped in the beauty of nature. His hands were often covered in soil as he pursued his passion for farming, landscaping, and gardening. Whether it was tending to his bountiful vegetable garden or carefully picking pecans from the trees, Valentine found solace and joy in being outdoors. His green thumb and dedication translated into breathtaking landscapes that brought happiness and inspiration to all who beheld them.
More than just a hobby, Valentine's connection with nature became a reflection of his gentle and compassionate spirit. He had a natural ability to care for and nurture living things, both plants and people alike. Those fortunate enough to cross paths with him were touched by his kindness, patience, and unwavering support. His vibrant spirit will forever be cherished, and his memory will continue to inspire all those who knew him. May he find eternal peace, surrounded by the lush gardens of heaven, as his legacy lives on through the seeds of kindness he planted throughout his lifetime. He now rests in the company of the mother of his children, Martha, finding peace in their eternal reunion.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Adam Carmello, Amanda Mose (James), and Dena Kyle (Alton Jr.); grandchildren, Marlye Carmello, Dai’Shaliayah Kyle, Alton Kyle, III, Leila Mose, Lydia Mose, Linsey Mose, and baby Arlen Carmello; great-grandchild, Zyhn Thibodeaux; sisters, Leona (Elbert) McLaughlin, Cora Moreau, and Cathy (Steven) Perry; brothers, Peter Carmello, Harold (Vickie) Carmello, Albert Carmello, Augustine (Eveline) Carmello, Paul Carmello, and John Carmello.
