Thelma Eva Firmin

Funeral Mass for Thelma Eva Firmin of Cottonport will begin at 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s #1 Cemetery.  

Thelma Firmin, age 92, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home in Dupont. She immersed herself in creating beautiful pieces through her talent for sewing and crocheting, which she shared with her loved ones and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Ryan Firmin (Debra), Anthony Firmin (Jackie), Beryl Hebert (Marvin), and Jane Thevenot (Tim); 9 grandchildren: Chad Firmin, Sherie Armand, Joshua Firmin, Jamie Firmin, Dustin Firmin, Stephanie Hebert, Matthew Hebert, Cory Thevenot, Dawn Thevenot. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Cory Thevenot, Chad Firmin, Joshua Firmin, Jamie Firmin, Dustin Firmin, Jordan Firmin; cross-bearer: Dylan Armand

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oswald Firmin; parents, Abel & Adele Marcelle Gauthier; and numerous siblings.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am until 12:00pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Cottonport. Rosary will begin at 11:30am.
