Memorial services for Sylvia Gail Roberts Dauzat age 72 of Moreauville will be at 11:30 AM on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Point of Life Baptist Church in Plaucheville with Brother Norris Landry officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Friday, July 10, 2026 at point of life Church in Plaucheville. Rosary will be recited by Ms. Janice Lemoine at 11 AM
Gail was born in Bay Minette, Alabama to Millon, Odessa Bloodworth and Louis Elzbie Roberts. She passed away peacefully on Friday, July 3, 2026 at her home surrounded by family and friends.
Throughout Gail’s life, she worked as a chef on a dredge boat for many years as well as a licensed florist and hairdresser along side her mother in Bay Minette, Alabama. After meeting her husband of 35 years; Daniel Dauzat she moved to Moreauville Louisiana, where she worked for many years as a dealer at the Grand Casino in Marksville. Gail was known by many people as a wonderful cook, an animal lover, and someone who was always kind and willing to help our feed anyone that she came into contact with.
Gail is proceeded in death by her daughter April Guy of Bay Minette, Alabama, and her husband Daniel Dauzat of Moreauville Louisiana, her Mother Millon Odessa Bloodworth and her Father Louis Elzbie Roberts of Alabama. Those left to cherish her memories are her son Matthew Gray Guy of Moreauville and dear friend Grant Rabalais of Moreauville Louisiana as well as numerous cousins, friends, and most notably her loyal four legged companion Sugar Foot.
The family would like to thank All Saints Hospice for their care and compassion during this time as well as the friends and neighbors who offered support along the way, especially the following, Brian Smith Rabalais , Debbie Rabalais, Cagney Saucier, Kelsey Rico as well as Brother Norris and Sister Donna of Point of Life Church.
