Sanford Dean Rogers, 63, of Lettsworth, LA, passed away peacefully at his home on July 14, 2026 at 2:01 p.m., surrounded by family, friends and loved ones.

Born on July 31, 1962, Dean was a lifelong farmer who took great pride in his work. He began farming alongside his father and brothers at Dale Rogers & Sons, Inc., where he learned the value of hard work, dedication, and family. Farming wasn't just his livelihood; it was his passion and a way of life that he carried with pride throughout the years. He loved being on a tractor and could spend hours in the fields doing what he enjoyed most. Whether he was working on the farm, sitting by the water with a fishing pole, or in the woods hunting, Dean felt most at home outdoors. He loved joking with his family, sharing laughs, listening to music and making memories that will be cherished for years to come.

If you knew Dean, you know he had a heart of gold and a compassionate spirit that touched everyone. He was the kind of man who never hesitated to help someone in need, offer a kind word, or share what he had. His quiet strength, generous heart, and easygoing nature will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sanford Dale Rogers, sister, Angela Boudreaux and brother Samuel David.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Mary Duplechin (Neil); his beloved longtime partner, Wendy Bordelon; his children, Crystal Rogers (John), Russell Rogers (Erika), and Cheyenne Bordelon (Keith); and Wendy's children, who became family to him, Marley Guidry (Khelin), Malarie Guidry (Ryan), McKenzie (Austin) and Madie Colley.

He was a proud grandfather to Cole, Katelynn (Landen), Mya, Gage, Gavin, Paislee, Clay and Addilyn and two great grandchildren Kyson & Zyer, along with Wendy's grandchildren Kyzer, Indie, Daze, Reign, Elsie, Ava, Ellie, Nora & Wrenlee, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Dean is also survived by his brothers: Ricky (Jackie), Tim (Jennie), Ricky Dale (Celeste) and Christopher (Michaela) Rogers, his sisters: Sandra Scott (Louis), Pat Laborde (Kent), Della Godfrey (Stewart), Casey McGee (Robert) Kelly Dupont (David), and Sissy Lemoine (Shannon), along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Dean's legacy is one of hard work, kindness, and love for his family. He will be remembered for the stories and laughter he shared, his kind and generous heart, and the love he had for the people who meant the most to him. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be: Stanley Kimble, Landen Simoneaux, Cole Firmin, Gage & Gavin Rogers, Clay Bordelon, Ryan Lynch, Shannon Lemoine and Andrew Boudreaux.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Greg Guillot, Ricky “Rex”, Tim and Ricky Dale Rogers.
