Funeral services for Sandy “Faye” Weaver of Moreauville will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in Simpson Baptist Church of Moreauville, with Pastor Terryl Pierite, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the start of the service. Burial will take place in the Simpson Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sandy "Faye" Weaver, 68, born Nov. 5, 1957, in Bordelonville, La was called to her eternal home Sept, 1, 2025, in Hessmer, Louisiana.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Ervin Weaver Sr. and Martha Ballard Weaver.
"Auntie" as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all those who knew and loved her. Her time on this side of eternity was a display of love, compassion, and faith in God.
Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and those touched by her life. Remember Sandy not by the way her life ended, but by the life she lived.
Sandy was baptized at an early age at Antioch Missionary Baptist Chruch by the late Rev. Wellington J. Parker in Rexmere, La.
Sandy is survived by her loving sisters Pearlie Weaver of Hessmer, Louisiana, and Cyvritic Weaver. God-children Brittany Bradford of Hessmer, La., and Wathel Jones (Jackie) of New Orleans, La. Given Nephew Travis Firmin of Moreauville, La. Her best friend, Deborah Stewart of New Orleans, La. A host of nieces, nephews, step-sister, cousins, and friends who adored her.
Sandy was preceded in death by brothers Ervin Weaver Jr, William Weaver, Alton Weaver, Henry Weaver, Winston Weaver, Ernest Weaver, and Baby Weaver. Sisters Mary Jones, Debra Hunt, Anna Bolden, and Audrey Williams.
After graduating from Bordelonville High School, she moved to New Orleans to begin her career at the Hilton Hotel, where she was known for her warm smile and dedication to her work. Her time there marked the start of a new chapter filled with meaningful connections and lifelong friendships, and memories in a city she loved until August 2005. In August 2005, she moved back to her roots in Avoyelles Parish, in her returned time she was faithfully employed at both Walmart and the Counsel on Aging.
Sandy's heart was anchored in her faith, which guided her steps through life. She became a devoted member of Simpson Baptist Church, where she actively participated under the Pastoral Leadership of Rev. Terryl Pierite Sr.
Those who knew and loved her will remember her beautiful smile, encouraging words and unwavering faith. Although she is no longer physically here, her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. WE WILL LIVE HER LEGACY OF LOVE.
