Funeral services for Sandra Valant of Mansura will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 beginning at 11am at First Evening Star Baptist Church in Cottonport. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 beginning at 9am until 11am at First Evening Star Baptist Church in Cottonport. Burial will be at the Old Zion Baptist Cemetery in Cottonport. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Sandra "4 Sugar" Valant, age 50, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2016 at her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester & Ruby-Lee Jones; 1 sister, 2 brothers, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, grandmothers and grandfathers.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 31 years, Landry Valant, Jr.; daughters, Laken Jones, Sonya Valant; sons, Landry Valant, III, Jeffery Valant; sister, April Jones; brother, Lester Jones, Jr.; grandchildren, Maijah Jones, Jermaine Pierre, Jr., Makenzie Valant, Juwan Valant, Jibril Greenhouse, Terrance Valant, Terraj Valent, Jeffery Valant, Jr., A'Qing Walton, and A'mare Valant.
