Sadie Mae Mayeux

Funeral Mass for Sadie Mae Mayeux of Cottonport will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church of Cottonport on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Charles Ray officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery 2.

Sadie Mayeux, age 78, passed away at her home in Cottonport surrounded by family on Thursday, April 23rd, 2026. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Lee Mayeux, Jr. (Kasey), Dana Brassette, and Pam Rabalais (Derek); brothers, Dan Hayes, Emile Maillet, Jr. and Kenneth Maillet. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tanner Brassette, Conner Brassette, Braxton Brassette, Noah Brassette, Carter Rabalais, Olivia Rabalais, Addie Claire Rabalais, Ryan Mayeux (Sarah), Hunter Mayeux, and Halie Mayeux; great-grandchildren, Eli, Ellie, Nolan, and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Jules Mayeux, Sr.; parents, Sylvan Bernard and Sybile Gaspard Hilton; her siblings, Sylvia Guillory, Don Hayes, and Jesse “Buddy” Bernard.

Visitation will begin at 8:00am on Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at the Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport until time of funeral mass.
