Funeral service for Rita Mae Keno of Moreauville will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Congregational First Baptist Church in Marksville. Burial will follow at the Cedar Grove Cemetery in Marksville. Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 10:45am on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at Congregational First Baptist Church in Marksville.

Rita Mae Keno, age 61, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at her home in Moreauville. Rita was born in Marksville on July 13, 1962. Rita enjoyed babysitting which she has done for many years. Her love for her family and friends knew no bounds. She lived a vibrant life and still had so much ahead of her.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving companion of 27 years, Amos Augustine, Jr. of Moreauville; loving son, Amos C. Keno (Mattie Bacon) of Marksville; 3 grandchildren: Mya Keno, Austin Keno, and Ja'Deria LeBlanc all of Marksville; 5 brothers, Charles Keno, Jr. of Dallas, TX, Lionell Worthy, Donald Worthy, Leroy Keno, and David Keno all of Marksville; 4 sisters, Beverly Keno Miner of Mansura, Jennifer Keno, Betty Keno, and Patricia Worthy all of Marksville; 5 step-children: Nicole Augustine of Simmesport, Amos Augustine, III of Simmesport, Katrina Augustine of Simmesport, Katina Augustine McDowell (Brandon) of Brandon, MS, Krysta Augustine of Simmesport; 21 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. 

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Amos Augustine, III, Terryonta Augustine, Denarius Worthy, Demarcus Keno, Carl Allen, Sr., Donald Keno, Kevin Keno, and Jarvon Voorhies. Honorary pallbearers: Amos Augustine, Jr., Amos Keno, Austin Keno, Richard Worthy, Sr., David Worthy, Leroy Keno, Lionel Worthy, Charles Keno, Jr. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Keno, Sr. & Rosalee Worthy Keno; and step-daughter, Felicia Watson; and step-granddaughter, Jayonna Augustine. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home (318-964-2324) 6608 Porterie St. Mansura, LA 71350.
