Obituary

Renee Joseph Bordelon, 65, of Baton Rouge, passed away on Thursday August 6th, 2026. Renee was born on September 16th 1960, in Baton Rouge, LA to Layton and Mildred Bordelon.

He grew up in Baton Rouge and graduated from Woodlawn High School and went to work in restaurant management shortly after. He also worked for the State of Louisiana Lottery. He had a deep love for the State of Louisiana and the life he lived here. A man who never missed an opportunity for a Crawfish boil.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, LSU sports spending time with his family around him. He was a hard worker, dedicated family man, and loving brother to Myra Knight, Lenwood Bordelon, and Denise Norris.

Rene was preceded in death by his his parents, Layton and Mildred Bordelon; sister, Denise Norris; brother-in-law, Thomas Knight.

Rene was known for being a loving family man, supportive of those around him. He was always present at family events like graduations, weddings, and every Holiday. He had a charming sense of humor and always wanted to make those around him laugh.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, August 10th, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Paul Cemetery at the corner of Cocoville Rd (LA Hwy 107) and Old River Road in Mansura, LA. Rene’s love, spirit and memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made in Denises' name to Companion Animal Alliance in Baton Rouge (Near LSU campus).
