Funeral Mass for Reginald Joseph Blackman, Sr. of Mansura will take place at the Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, beginning at 11:00AM with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Reginald Joseph Blackman, Sr., 84, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alice Blackman; sister, Vera Blackman Batiste; his three children, Reginald Blackman, Jr., Gayle Blackman and Karen Blackman-Lavalais (Albert) along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Reginald Joseph Blackman, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Pury and Alberta Blackman; brothers, Raymond Blackman, Patrick Blackman and Joseph Jackson; sister, Doretha Bonton and his first wife, Lillie Mae-Patton Blackman.

Visitation will begin at 8:00AM to 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura, LA.
