Funeral service for Pauline Frances Kegley Mire of Cottonport will begin at 5:30pm on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport with Fr. Charlie Ray officiating. Interment will be held at a future date in Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 9:00pm on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport.

Pauline F. Mire, age 85, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at her home in Cottonport. She was born on November 8, 1940, in Arkinda, Arkansas. She worked at Bayou Vista Nursing Home for 17 years and then went on to work at Paragon Casino for 27 years where she retired at the age of 80.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, John Farrel Mire; four children, Sheila (will) Gauthier of Hessmer, Shella (Dave) Ham of DeQueen, Arkansas, Deanah (Clemente) Ferretiz of Horatio, Arkansas; 11 grandchildren, Eddie (Patricia) Meche, Jr., Melissa Meche, Rhonda (Chris) James, Travis (Kim) Meche, Vanessa (Cody) Liles, Jonathan Mire, Cory (Leona) Mire, Rocio (Lazarin) Casteneda, Elisia Ferretiz, Farrah (Johnny) Bivins, Tonya Power; 25 great-grandchildren: Cohen, Caden, Channing, Raylon, Hunter, Brayden, Miley, Ethan, Jaydin, Autym, Jade, McKade, Cain, Seth, Ally, Aiden, Remmi, Ellie, Beaudie, Cooper, Levi, Canyon, Avy, Nino, Mateo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Myrtle Kegley; brother, Charles Kegley, Sr., and sister, Opal Branson.
