Nelson B. Harper, Jr.

Funeral Mass for Nelson B. Harper, Jr., resident of Mansura formerly of New Orleans, will begin at 11:30am on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at All Saints Catholic Church (1441 Teche St, New Orleans, LA 70114). Entombment and Military Honors will follow at 1:00pm at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery (1225 Whitney Ave., Terrytown, LA 70056).

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rosa Batiste Harper; children: Lowen Harper (Michelle), Sauni Bowers (Keith), Pamela Harper; siblings, Coty Harper (Wanda), Stacy Harper (Yvonne), Ursula Powell and Lisa Aguillard; 19 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Harper, Sr. and Eunice Buchana Harper; brothers, Edwin, Terry, Glenn; brother-in-law, Solomon Aguillard.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:30am on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at All Saints Catholic Church in Algiers.
