Funeral services for Matthew Jacob will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at St. Marys Baptist Church. Burial will follow at St. Marys Baptist Cemetery in Marksville. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at St. Marys Baptist Church in Marksville from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Mr. Jacob, age 86 of Marksville, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Wallace Jacob and Hester Estelle Lavalais and thirteen brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jessie Jacob of Marksville three daughters, Julia McCoy of Crockett, California, Irene Coulter of San Francisco, California, and Marilyn Rodriguez of Antioch, California two sons, Dr. Mack Jacob of Berkeley, California, and Edward Jacob of Navarre, Florida and twelve grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.
