Mary Ellen Roy

Mary Ellen Roy, age 83, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner, LA.

She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest joy came from tending to her garden and the bonds of togetherness with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Sheila (Bill) Roy of New Orleans, Tina (Stanley) Catoire of Reserve, LA, Cheryl Daniels of Rusk, TX, and Sharon (Greg) Hoffman of River Ridge, LA; grandchildren, Candace (Mike), Gregory (Ashley), Josh, Jenni (James), and Jessica (Jordan). She is also survived by many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Richard Paul Roy; parents, Elton Lemoine Sr. and Hazel Lemoine.

A graveside service will be on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 10:00am, at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Hessmer.
