Mary Rose Domingue

Funeral service for Mary Rose L. Dominque of Dupont will begin at 10:00am on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dupont. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Dupont.  

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm on Saturday, June 24, 2023, and will resume at 8:00am until 9:30am on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport.

Mary Rose L. Domingue, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at her home in Dupont. She retired from Avoyelles Hospital as a Personal Care Assistant at the age of 77. She enjoyed working and helping others. Mary Rose loved her family, especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was very excited to find out she was going to be a great-great-grandmother. Mary Rose was the foundation and whole heart of her family. She was blessed to be here for 5 generations of love and her legacy will continue on.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Melisa Francois (Glenn) of Baytown, TX, Janice Savage of Hessmer, Samantha Douzart of Plaucheville, and Shane Domingue (Jane) of Kaysville, Utah; daughter-in-law, Shauna Domingue of Dupont; sisters, Betty Carline Aucoin, Shirley Billiot, and Louise Blanchard. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Johnny K. Savage, Cristin Savage, Gerald Savage, Jr., Debra Sauer, Pamela Savage, Brandon Domingue, Dylan Domingue, and Alexa Francois; and 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Domingue, Sr.; her son, Patrick Domingue, Jr.; son-in-law, Gerald Savage, Sr.; parents, Aristille LeBlanc & Arthemise Boudreaux LeBlanc; great-grandchild, Abigail Sauer; and 9 siblings.
