A private memorial service for Marlene Dupre Sonnier of Lettsworth will be held.

Marlene Dupre Sonnier, age 79, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Lonnie (Wendy) Rousselle of NC, Joseph Derek (Kimberly) Sonnier of Lettsworth, Timothy Daniel Sonnier of Lettsworth; step-daughters, Ilene Bell of WA and Carrie Clark of WA; her twin sister, Charlene Carter, and sister Emma Speyrer. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell James Sonnier; parents, Freddie Dupre’, Sr. and Elna Fontenot Dupre’; step-daughter, Patty Gifford; and 3 siblings.
