Funeral Mass for Jimmy Wayne Bordelon, Jr. of Plaucheville will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Burial will follow at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Cemetery in Plaucheville.

Jimmy W. Bordelon, Jr., age 57, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Laurie Bordelon; sons, Shane Bordelon (Morgan) and Nick Bordelon (Amanda); two grandchildren, Avery Bordelon and Collins Bordelon; and sister, Danielle Rojas, along with numerous cherished in-laws, nephews, nieces, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Wayne Bordelon, Sr. and Jackie Rachal Bordelon; infant daughter, Paige Bordelon; brother, Davy Clark.

A true Louisiana outdoorsman, Jimmy’s greatest joy was found in his passion for hunting in the stillness and peace of the woods and bayous, often reflecting on life there and spent countless hours just observing the beauty of nature. He enjoyed sharing his deep love of the tradition with his sons, family and friends and many treasured memories were made on those hunting trips—always filled with laughter and camaraderie. Fishing was another great love, and we pray that he is now casting his line into the greatest pond in heaven, reeling in the fish of his dreams.

Jimmy touched the hearts of all who knew him—with his quick wit, kind spirit, and unwavering readiness to lend a hand. Family was always the center of his life, but he found friends wherever he went, and he was “Uncle Jimmy” to many of the kids he knew and loved. His legacy lives on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared so freely. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit remains ever-present in the woods, the water, and the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville and will resume at 8:00am until 10:30am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville. The holy rosary will be recited that evening at 6:30pm.
