Funeral service for Jimmie Paul Dupont, Sr. of Big Bend will begin at 11:00am on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville with Pastor Daniel Wright, III officiating. Interment will be held on a future date at St. Catherine Cemetery in Big Bend.

Jimmie P. Dupont, Sr., age 76, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 55 years, Stephanie Ann Dupont; his children, Lorrie Bordelon (Brett), Jimmie P. Dupont, Jr. (Michelle), Tanya L. Duplantis (John), Tracey L. Firmin, Dawn M. Dupont, and April A. Dupont; siblings: Sheila Courville, Della Hebert, Vernon Dupont (Diana), William Dupont, Jr., Willie Dupont (Wanda).

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Dupont, Sr. and Gladys Dupont; grandson, Jacob Duplantis; sister, Louanna Laprairie.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 11:00am on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.
