Jermaine Joseph Pierre, Jr., age 21, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in Marksville. His genuine spirit and infectious smile brought joy to everyone around him, and he had a unique ability to uplift those he encountered.

Those left to cherish his memory mother, Laken Miche Jones (Travis); father, Jermaine Pierre, Sr. (Meagan); fiancé, Sirenity Johnson; sister, Maijah Jones; maternal grandfather, Landry Valant, Jr.; paternal grandmother, Faye Pierre; paternal grandfather, James Thomas. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Sonya Valant, Landry Valant, III, Jeffery Valant, Shane Pierre, Shawn Pierre, and Kasey Pierre; his niece, Ma’Lani Hagger; step-grandfather, Anthony Williams; step-sisters, Jaylynn Barrere, Annalin Barrere, and Skylynn Barrere; and his dog, China. He is also survived by a host of little cousins whom he loved dearly, a host of great-aunts and great-uncles, and his best friends, Traevion Hurts, Amariun Lamonta Jenkins, Willis Johnson, and Starkeis Prier.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sandra Valant; maternal great-grandparents, Lester & Ruby Lee Jones; paternal great-grandparents, Joseph Whitney Pierre and Verlie Pierre; best friends, KeAndre Jacobs and Adam Berry; and a host of great-aunts and great-uncles.
