Funeral Mass for Jeffrey Sons of Hessmer will take place at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Hessmer on Saturday, June 13th, 2026 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Kenneth Michiels officiating. Burial will take place at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Cemetery.

Jeffrey Sons, age 66, passed away at Our Lady of Lourdes Heart Hospital of Lafayette on Sunday, June 7th, 2026. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Francine Guillory Sons; his children, Caleb Sons (Millicent) and Martin Sons (Danielle), all of Hessmer; his grandchildren, Arabella Manuel, Lillian Sons, Vayda Sons, & Elora Sons. He is also survived by his siblings, Frances Rentrop of Hessmer, Julie Snyder of Pearland, TX, and Justin Sons or Many, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian “Sonny” & Dolores Vinning Sons; and his brother-in-law, Phil Synder.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12th, 2026 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and then will resume Saturday morning at 8:00am. The holy rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 6:30pm.
