Funeral Mass for Jared Thibodeaux of Plaucheville will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Dupont.

Jared Thibodeaux, age 49, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Jared was a devoted husband, son, brother, and family man whose kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched everyone who knew him. Raised in Plaucheville, he cherished his family and friendships. He found great joy in cooking for family and friends, bringing people together with delicious meals and laughter. Jared also loved sitting around a fire, sharing stories, enjoying good company, and making lasting memories with those he loved most. These simple moments brought him the greatest happiness.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amy Thibodeaux of Plaucheville; step-children: Kristen Cunningham (Cody) of Duson and Eric Cunningham (Simone) of Dutchtown; his mother, Ellen Thibodeaux of Plaucheville; sister, Melissa Joshua (Trey) of Moreauville; brother, Jimmy Thibodeaux (Brenda) of Echo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Murphy Thibodeaux.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 9:00pm with rosary prayer service at 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport. Visitation will resume at 8:00am until 10:30am on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport.
