Jacob Lawrence Spears, age 42, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Melanie Hurst Spears; children, Trevar (Gabbi) Spears, Hayden Wright, and Tanner Spears; step-children, Gavyn Hurst, Jaydon Hurst, and Egyn Hurst; parents, Henry and Delilah Spears; brother, Courtney (Jessica) Spears; sister, Nicole (Nathan) Leonards; grandchildren, Ryder, Oaklynn, and Maverick; nephew, Austin; Nieces, Ava, Macy, and Madison.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm at Center Point Pentecostal Church in Effie on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm, at Center Point Pentecostal Church in Effie on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Burial will follow the funeral at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery in Morganza on Friday, June 13, 2025. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home (318-964-2324), 6608 Porterie St. Mansura, LA 71350.
