Gus Augustine Villemarette Services for Gus Augustine Villemarette will be at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hessmer on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating. Entombment will be at St. Alphonsus Mausoleum in Hessmer, under the direction of Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Mr. Villemarette, 91, of Hessmer, died December 4, 2006, in Avoyelle Hospital in Marksville. He was a Navy Veteran, member of Knight of Columbas and St. Alphonsus Church. He was also a retired Insurance and Auto Salesman. He is survived by his wife, Odessa Normand Villemarette of Bunkie; sons, Robert Villemarette of Leesville and Norman Villemarette of Hessmer. He was preceded in death by his son, Neuton Villemarette; brother, Calvin Villemarette; sister, Ann Guillot; father, Adelma Villemarette and mother, Alice Ponthier Villemarette; seven grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura on Tuesday, December 5, 2006, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Rosary service will be December 5, 2006, at 6 p.m. and will re-open the following day at 8 a.m.
