Gloria "Glo" Lacour

Funeral Mass for Gloria “Glo” Lacour of Plaucheville will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.

Gloria “Glo” Lacour, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. 

She had a deep love for gardening and found joy and peace in caring for her flowers and plants. Gloria also dearly loved her community of Plaucheville, where she was known and loved by so many as “Glo.” More than anything, she loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. Her greatest happiness came from time spent with her family, and she treasured every moment, conversation, celebration, and memory they shared together. Her love was constant, unconditional, and the foundation of her family.

A very strong and faithful woman, Gloria lived her life with unwavering faith, compassion, and devotion to her family, friends, and community.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Angela Ogle (Bob Ogle) of Slaughter, Tammy Lacour of Plaucheville, and Debbie Decuir (Lyn Decuir) of Cottonport. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren: Chris, Brian, Travis, Colby, Michael, Sam, and Matt; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Chris Ogle, Brian Ogle, Travis Dauzat, Colby Dauzat, Sam Decuir, Matt Decuir; crossbearer: Michael Bloodworth.

She preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Mayeaux and Anita Veade Mayeaux; husband, Terral Lacour; sisters, Birdine Lacour, Nelda Couvillion and Audrey Marks; brother, Leonard Mayeaux.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am until 12:30pm on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church. Rosary prayer service will begin at 12:30pm.
