Genevieve Elizabeth Baker-Jackson, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville, LA.
Funeral Mass for Genevieve Baker-Jackson will begin at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Our Lady of Sorrow Church in Moreauville, LA, with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery #1 in Moreauville, LA.
Visitation starting at 7:30 am until 9:30 am, on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.
Genevive worked at Allen Canning Factory and was also a Certified Nursing Assistant, she loved her job as a Nursing Assistant and worked as one for a numerous amount of years. She was also an in-home caregiver, then an home organizer till her time of retirement.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Roscoe "Cokey" Jackson (Kathy) of Moreauville, LA ; daughter, Elodie "Marietta" Jackson of Moreauville, LA; brother, Samuel Baker of Slidell, LA; four grandchildren, Lawanna "Wannie" Jackson of Alexandria, LA, Andrekia "Annie" Jackson of Moreauville, LA, Nedrekia "Neekie" Jackson-Mose (Jermaine) of Marksville, LA, and Kathie Jackson of Baton Rouge, LA; five great-grandchildren, Shareka Laws and Jutland Coco both of Houston, TX, Tabitha Coco of Missouri City, TX, A'Vrieana "Avie" Jackson of Moreauville, LA, and Naja Mose of Marksville, LA; daughter-in-law, Lola Jackson of Alexandria, LA, a very dear cousin/friend, Barbara Heggar-Augustine of Cottonport, LA; four great-great-grandchildren; three godchildren, Gregory Johnson (Julia) of Cottonport, LA, Mary Coco-Hudson of Houston, TX, and Tate Joshua (Lindsey) of Lafayette, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Isreal Jackson Sr.; son, Isreal "Ralph" Jackson Jr.; grandson, Shuntel Coco (Barbara); parents, Harrison Benjamin and Elodie Baker-Benjamin; brothers, Dalton Baker, Dallas Baker, Ferdinand Baker, and Ronald Baker; sisters, Ola Baker-Coco, Doris Baker-Walker, Irma Baker-Colston, Gertrude Baker-McGee, and Audrey Baker-Chenevert.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville, LA.
