Private memorial services for Gary Nelson of Mansura will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home.

Gary Nelson, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at his home. Gary was a retired truck driver of 20 plus years and was an avid motorcyclist.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Nelson, Jr.; significant other, Cindy Ann Currie and his mother, Annie Belle Lee David.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Kelcea Nelson (Bryan Orcutt) of Crowley; sons, Joshua Nelson (Nicole) of Baton Rouge and Justin Nelson of Zachary; step-daughter, Tiffany Flores of Portland, OR; sister, Rosalyn Allain of Walker. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Parker Nelson, Emma Nelson, Ollie Orcutt and Cicily Orcutt.
