Funeral Service for Florence Desselle Baudin “Doll” of Bordelonville will take place at the Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville on Monday, February 16, 2026, beginning at 11:00am. Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Bordelonville.
Florence Desselle Baudin “Doll”, 84, passed away at Bayou Chateau Nursing Center in Simmesport on Thursday, February 12, 2026. She was born on April 13, 1941, in Boredelonville to Amos and Eunice Normand. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose strength and faith carried her family through generations.
She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn (“Bill”) and Wanda (Russell); children, Cindy (Marty) Gaspard, Carla (Kip) Juneau, and Tony (Dana) Desselle; step children, Web Desselle, Stacey Desselle Rice, Richard Baudin, and Wanda Desselle; grandchildren, Mike (Christian), Velvette (Brad), Amber (Terry), Garrett, Alayna, Joseph, David and Riley; step grandchildren, James, Kelsey, Lance, Heather, McKenzie, Lance B., Hunter and Katie; great grandchildren, Vance, Isaac, Elijah, Lillian, Kori, Alexis, Michael, Airriana, Kayden, Ella, and Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents ,Amos and Eunice Normand; brother, Royce; sister, Elaine (“Johnny”); husbands, Anthony Desselle, Web Desselle, and Simpson Baudin; and her beloved son ,Corey.
Flo grew up working in the fields. She loved playing basketball, horseback riding, and dancing with her friends on the weekends. As an adult, she was an avid gardener, a wonderful seamstress, an amazing cook, and baker. No job or hobby was too much of a challenge. She worked as a florist and in the nursery for her daughter. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and wife. She made enough pineapple cakes for friends and family to make a stairway to heaven. We love you forever, mama.
Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-9:00pm on Sunday, February 15, 2025, and reopen from 9:00am-11:00am on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Moreauville.
