Faye Bailey

Funeral Mass for Faye Bailey of Cottonport will begin at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Plaucheville with Fr. Martin Laird officiating. Burial will be at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in Plaucheville. 

Faye Bailey, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Dawn Bailey and Jessica Faye Bailey; 4 grandchildren: Christopher Shinn, Brandon Shinn, Zachary Shinn, and Trinity Lyons; brother, Al John Firmin; sister-in-law, Sandy Firmin; aunts, Elmade Rabalais and Molly Gagnard. She is also survived by numerous cousins, extended family, and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lurry Firmin and Bertha Francois Firmin; husband, Victor Baker; father of her daughters, Clarence Bailey; brother, Larry Firmin. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport with a rosary prayer service at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume at 8:00am until 10:30am on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport.
