Funeral Mass for Evans Dubroc of Plaucheville will take place at the St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church on Friday, July 24th, 2026, beginning at 11:00am with Father Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will take place at the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery of Dupont.

Evans Dubroc, 79, passed away at the Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital of Lafayette on Monday, July 20th, 2026. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 56 years, Sandra Dubroc; daughter, Amy Thibodeaux; sons, Adrian Dubroc (Veronica), and Adam Dubroc; grandchildren, Kristen Cunningham (Cody), Eric Cunningham (Simone), Serenity Dubroc; 2 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aydron and Avia Galland Dubroc; sisters, Evelyn Desoto, Shirrell Ann Firmin, and Barbara Dubroc; brothers, Lee James Dubroc and Norris Dubroc; and son-in-law, Jared Thibodeaux.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, until 9:00pm and reopen at 9:00am, Friday, July 24th, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Cottonport. The holy rosary will be recited at 6:00pm, Thursday evening.
