Errol James Burke

Funeral Mass for Errol James Burke of Mansura will begin at 11:30am on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum in Mansura.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Yvonne Burke of Alexandria and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fulgence Burke & Neva Laborde Burke; sister, Celeste Broussard; brothers, Neilson Burke and Kermit Burke.

He was a man with a truly pure heart, someone who was always helping others, never seeking recognition or acknowledgment in return. At first glance, he could appear to be a very serious-minded man, but those who knew him best knew the joy that lived within him. He had a wonderful sense of humor and just the right bit of silliness that brought smiles and laughter to those around him. Affectionately known as “Pom Pom,” he was deeply loved by his family and friends. His kindness, gentle spirit, joyful personality, and unmistakable presence will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

Visitation will begin at 7:00am until 11:15am on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
