Emogene Brener

Funeral mass for Emogene Laborde Brener of Montgomery, TX., will begin at 10:00am on Friday, October 1, 2021 at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bordelonville. Burial will follow at the St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.

Emogene Brener, age 79, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at her great-niece’s home in Montgomery, TX.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Connie (Charles) Reina of Houston, TX.; sister, Shirley Jernigan of Moreauville; brothers: John M. (Carol) Laborde of Colorado, and Clyde J. (Mary) Laborde of Houston, TX.; grandchild, Charles “Chas” A.  (Kat) Reina II of Houston, TX.; and her sister-in-law, Sheila Laborde. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: “Chas”, Jock, Matthew, Clyde, and Rodney.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Phil John Brener; parents, Lackey J. Laborde, Sr. & Olivia Bordelon Laborde; sister, Patsy Fannin; and her brothers: Lackey Laborde, Jr., JB Laborde, and Welse J. Laborde.

A visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the St. Peter’s Catholic Church Hall in Bordelonville. A rosary prayer service will begin at 4:00pm in the church hall. Visitation will resume at 8:00am until time of service on Friday, October 1, 2021 in the St. Peter’s Catholic Church Hall.
