Emma Ducote

Emma Poche' Ducote, age 91, of Hessmer passed away at Avoyelles Hospital. She is survived by two sons, Wilfred A. Ducote of Hessmer and Floyd P. Ducote of Hessmer; two brothers, Louis Poche', Sr. of Mansura and Albin Poche' of Mansura; three sisters, Jenny Lee St. Romain of Hessmer, May Grace Dauzat of Batchelor and Juliet Bernard of Fifth Ward; grandchildren, Tony Ducote, Sonya DuBois, Scott Ducote and Dennis Ducote; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Abbie Ducote. Mrs. Ducote was preceded in death by husband, Maurice Ducote; brothers, Amos Poche', Ernest Poche', Sr. and Albin Poche'; sister, Annie Jeansonne; parents, Antoine Poche' and Verdie Couvillion Poche'. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hessmer on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Escude' Funeral Home of Mansura. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 2 p.m. family 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. A wake service will be at 6 p.m. on Sunday, all at Escude' of Mansura.
