Elizabeth Sprinkle

Elizabeth A. Sprinkle, 94, of Moweaqua, died October 16, 2021 in Hessmer Nursing Home, Hessmer, LA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.  Memorials may be made to Blue Mound Memorial Library.  Burial will be in Traughber Cemetery, Moweaqua.

Elizabeth was born on May 5, 1927 in Tuscola, IL, the daughter of John and Grace (Loveall) Frank.  She married John E. Sprinkle on February 14, 1948 in Monticello, IL.  He preceded her in death on March 26, 2004.

Elizabeth was affiliated with the United Methodist Church and was a Charter Oak Club member.  She was a former 4-H Leader, a good cook, seamstress and loved knitting.  Elizabeth and her husband, John farmed in the Monticello and Moweaqua areas for many years together.

Surviving are her children: Stan (Monique) Sprinkle of Marksville, LA, Kathleen Bordelon of Hessmer, LA and Joyce (Dale) Koshinski of Moweaqua, IL; eight grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband, John; parents; son, Richard Sprinkle; grandchildren: Julie Bordelon and Jon Koshinski; great-grandchildren: Cierra Bordelon and Cara Descant; and brother, Jesse Walker.
