Eldie Bernard

Funeral services for Eldie Bernard will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 beginning at 10:00am at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Irion St. Romain officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5pm until 10pm with a Christian Wake Service at 7pm at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
Ms. Bernard, 85 and a resident of Masura passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at Rapides General Medical Center of a stroke.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Kirby Bernard, 2nd husband Alton Bettevy; parents Milton and Eldie (Gaspard) Desoto; sisters, Ina Lachney and Isabelle Dauzat; brothers, Louis, Eugene, Hilton and Steven Desoto.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Johnny) Weatherford, Christine (Steve) Scallan; sons Terrell Bernard and Donald (Patricia) Bernard; sister Jeanette Courville of Monroe; grandchildren Melissa Laborde, Rebecca Bernard, Donald Bernard, Jr., Randal Weatherford, Alisha Wendling, Monica Dauzat and Christopher Scallan, 8 greatgrandchildren and Numerous great great grandchildren
