Edward Manuel Jr.

Edward J. Manuel Jr., age 82, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Hessmer Nursing Home.

Edward worked for 18years and retired as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic from Martco Co in Chopin, LA. He enjoyed his time at his camp, fishing, and hunting.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026 from 1:00PM to 8:00pm at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura, LA (6608 Porterie St.). Reopen on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 8:00AM to 10:30AM.

Funeral Service to begin at 9:00AM on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Escude Funeral Home of Mansura, LA, (6608 Porterie St).

Burial will take place at St. Martin of Tours Church in Belledeau, LA (1981 Hwy 114) for 11:00AM. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Michael Manuel of Hessmer, LA; sister, Shirley Lemoine (Franklin) of Destrehan, LA; brothers, Bobby Manuel (Debra) of Hessmer, LA and Thomas Manuel (Erma) of Hessmer, LA.; and nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Michot Manuel; parents, Edward J. Manuel Sr. and Floria Dauzat Manuel; and sister, Philonese Roy.
