Funeral services for Doretha Guillot Guice of Marksville will take place at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church of Marksville on Saturday, September 28, 2013, beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Silverino Kwebuza officiating. Visitation will be held at the Escud Funeral Home of Mansura on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 5:30pm to 9:00pm and will resume Saturday morning at 10:00am at the church. Burial will commence at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church Cemetery.
Doretha Guice, age 86, passed away at the Rapides Regional Medical Center of Alexandria on Saturday, September 21, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucas Guice parents, Calvin Josephine Guillot daughters, Bernadette Guice Regina Guice Greenhouse grandson, Derrick Guice brothers, Carlton Guillot Ralph Guillot. She is survived by her children, Velita Guice Benjamin Leonard of Zachary, Connie Guice St. Romain of Marksville, Mary Guice Wilson Sherry Ray of Monroe, John Guice Patricia of Atlanta, GA, Dr. Ophelia Guice of Savannah, GA, Anna Guice Ferraro Perry of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Guice of Monroe, Jannis Guice Smith Bruce of Monroe, Van Guice Ruth of Bunkie brother, Burnell Guillot Rose of Arizona sister, Dora Mae Bacon Mirtell of Marksville. She is also survived by her twentyfive grandchildren, thirtyfour greatgrandchildren, four greatgreatgrandchildren, two godchildren, Kirby Guillot Renee Andrews.
