Funeral service for Donna Faye Patnaude Barr of Simmesport will begin at 12:00pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Simmesport. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Simmesport.

Donna Barr, age 70, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at her home in Simmesport.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Joseph Barr, Jr.; children, Donna Faye Barr (Dannie “Bozie” Lemoine) and Joseph Barr, III (Johnna Beth); siblings, Christine Bordelon (Lynn), Cynthia Chenault, Arthur Patnaude (Betty Joe), Hal Edwards (Annette), Lynn Patnaude, Sharon Moran; stepfather, Fred “Buck” Gullet. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren: Christopher Matthew Lemoine, Dakota Rayne Barr, Raegan Leigh Barr, Joseph Byron “Bubba” Barr, Khloe St. Romain, Hannah Lachney, Autumn St. Romain; 2 great-grandchildren: Kai Crouse and Easton Adams. 

Those honored to serve as pallbearers: Joseph Byron Barr, III, Christopher Lemoine, Dannie “Bozie” Lemoine, Jamie Barr, Scott Descant, Josh Descant, Davy Barr, and Michah Barr; and honorary Lance Barr.

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Barr; parents, Arthur Paul Patnaude and Donna Ponthier Gullet; brother, Michael Patnaude.

Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 12:00pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Sovereign Grace Baptist Church in Simmesport.
