Funeral Mass for Dina Alphonse Melerine of Big Bend, will begin at 10:30am on Monday, August 25, 2025, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Rexmere with Fr. Paul Kunnumpuram officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Michael’s Cemetery in Rexmere.

Dina Alphonse Melerine, age 79, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at her home in Big Bend.

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Roxanne Medina and Brett Bordelon (Lorrie); sister, Darlene Lemoine. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Alexis Medina, Brittany Best, Emily Breaux; and 4 great-grandchildren, Dakota Mayeux, Luna Breaux, Gabriel Best, Gracie Best; her beloved cat, Eva Melerine.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Melerine; parents, Clovis “Buddy” Alphonse and Stella Lemoine Alphonse.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm until 10:00pm on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at St. Peter’s Church Hall in Bordelonville and will resume at 8:00am until 10:15am on Monday, August 25, 2025.
