Services for Mr. Dillon James Bordelon will be held on Thursday, September 17th, 2026 at 1:00pm in Plaucheville, LA at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Laird officiating. Burial will commence immediately following services in the church cemetery in Plaucheville.

Dillon, age 77, was born on February 17, 1949, and passed away at his home on September 12th, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce A. Bordelon, and three children, Shane J. Bordelon (Veronica), Shad J. Bordelon (Victoria), and Shanna B. Marcantel (Scott); his sister, Beverly (Tookie) Pearce, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Theodore (Teddie) Bordelon; and his parents, Herman and Addie Bordelon.

Dillon is a veteran of the United States Army who proudly served in the Vietnam War from December, 1969 to November, 1970. He was an extremely proud father and grandfather who loved spending time with family whether it be riding his tractor tending to the cows or spending countless days at the camp. Mr. Dillon was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors however, he cherished nothing more than his family.

Visitation for Mr. Dillon will take place at Escude Funeral Home of Cottonport on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 from 5:00pm to 10:00pm with the recitation of the holy rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will re-open at 10:00am on the morning of the 17th.

Pallbearers for the services include Shane Bordelon Jr., Cole Marcantel, Cody Bordelon, Nicki Bordelon Jr., Gabriel Carmello, and Harrison Juneau.
