Diana Howard Prier

Funeral Service for Diana Howard Prier of Mansura will begin at 12:00pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Abram Temple Church of God in Christ with Bishop Denson officiating. Burial will follow at Simpson Cemetery in Eola.

Mrs. Diana Howard Prier, a devoted wife, cherished mother, beloved sister, and faithful servant of God, passed away, leaving a legacy of compassion, strength, and grace. She was united in marriage to Mr. Chris Prier, Sr., on October 2, 1989, and together they built a loving home in Mansura, Louisiana.

Diana’s life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her profession. She began her educational journey at Job Corps in Dallas, TX, earning an associate degree in Business (Clerk/Typist), and later pursued her calling in healthcare by obtaining an associate degree in Practical Nursing from the Louisiana Technical College – Ward H. Nash Campus in Cottonport. A compassionate and committed nurse, she served as a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 20 years until her retirement in 2013.

Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. A proud and active member of Abram Temple Church of God in Christ in Bunkie, LA. Diana was known for her warm spirit and her role in delivering church announcements with grace and poise.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband of 35 years, Chris Prier, Sr., and her children: Dr. Tiffany J. Howard, Deborah Prier, Chris Prier Jr., and Jerrell Prier (J’ael Prier). She was also a caring stepmother to Ashley Guillot, Chassity Guillot, Tisha Guillot Andrew (James Andrew), and Kimberley Guillot, who lovingly referred to her as Mama D.

Diana was the proud grandmother of Dornelius “Jevon” James Jr., and a treasured step-grandmother to Destiny, Brittany, Elijah, Sky, LaRyan, Niomi, Eli, Daymond, Na’Shon, and Shon Guillot Jr. She is survived by her loving siblings: Jean Dossman, Dorothy Tave (Guindell Tave), and Naomi Jackson (Johnny Jackson), who will forever hold her memory close.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Missionary Victoria Howard, father Clarence “Pete” Howard, brother Larry Jones, and brother-in-law Cedell Dossman.

Mrs. Diana Howard Prier’s legacy of service, love, and quiet strength will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am-12:00pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Abram Temple Church of God in Christ in Bunkie, LA.
