Funeral Mass for Chet Anthony Joffrion of Moreauville will take place at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Moreauville on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 beginning at 11:00am with Fr. Brian Seiler officiating. The holy rosary will be recited at 10:30am that morning at the church. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Catholic Mausoleum 2.

Chet Joffrion, age 62, passed away at the Avoyelles Hospital of Marksville on June 29th, 2026.

An avid outdoorsman, Chet was happiest when he was hunting and fishing, with a particular passion for duck hunting. Following his retirement from the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola, he stayed deeply connected to his colleagues, even helping host reunions for his fellow retired co-workers. Chet truly loved life and lived it to the fullest; he had a deep love for music and dancing, and he was known to many as the "Boudin King" because no one could make it quite like he did. Above all else, Chet was a devoted family man who loved cooking for family and friends, spending time with his loved ones, and absolutely adoring his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 41 years, Pat Joffrion; his children, Brooke LeJeune (Stephen) and Brandon Joffrion (Cassie); and his grandchildren, Caroline LeJeune, Reid LeJeune, Matthew LeJeune, William LeJeune, Anna-Leslie Joffrion, Temperance Joffrion, Emmett Joffrion, and Marcus Joffrion.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Crystal Joffrion; parents, John, Sr. & Harriet Mayeux Joffrion; and his siblings, John Joffrion, Jr. and Nicole Desselle.

Visitation will begin at 7:00am on Friday, July 3rd, 2026 at the Escude Funeral Home of Moreauville.
