Charles "Charlie" Ross Henry

Charles Ross Henry was born in Lawton, Oklahoma on March 11, 1968. He moved to Simmesport, Louisiana in 1973 at the age of 4 where he lived the rest of his life. Charlie graduated from Simmesport High School, then he worked at Angola State Penitentiary until retirement.

Charlie began a new career buying and restoring houses that provided many people with a rental home. Thank you, Shawn Alejandro and Nathan Moss for helping Charlie’s vision come to fruition. Jennifer Borderlon stayed by his side in business and was his traveling companion. They were best friends that enjoyed many adventures together!

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Leslie Powell Henry; father, Bill Henry; mother, Mary Juneau; brothers, Steve and Vance Henry.

His sisters, Jan Myers, Elaine Speyrer, and Janet Kimble grieve the passing of their brother. Charlie passed away of a massive heart attack on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Please join us for a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Escude Funeral Home (625 Main Street, Simmesport, Louisiana 71369). A eulogy will be given at 2:00 PM.
