She is survived by her son, John Burns; and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Didier Hill & Mable Smith Hill; husband, James C. Burns; and sisters, Marlene, Mary, Ruby, and Marie.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home (318-964-2324) 625 Main St. Simmesport, LA 71369.
