Betty Jean Bornette Clifford

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Jean Bornette Clifford, who left this world on April 30, 2026, at the age of 84.

Betty enjoyed spending time planting flowers. She also loved playing bingo with her friends. 

A Memorial Visitation celebrating her life will be held on May 16, 2026, 10:00AM to 3:00PM , with 2:00PM service at Grace Community Church (19054 LA-417 Lettsworth, LA 70753).

A graveside service will follow at the Heart of Worship Church Cemetery (18049 Legonier Rd, Lettsworth, LA 70753).

Betty is survived by her loving family: children, Becky Sandoz (Jade Sandoz) of New Iberia, Henry Lee McGuire of New Orleans, and Joey Myers of Morganza; siblings, Larry Sherman, Elda Sherman, and Juanita David; numerous grandchildren and great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her children, Cynthia McGuire Longlois and Eddie Paul McGuire Sr., parents, Edwin Sherman and Annie Lee Bornette Sherman; son-in-law, Glenn Prothro; brother-in-law, Roland David.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Escude Funeral Home of Mansura, LA.
